LIONS V SHEFFIELD, PREVIEW

LEICESTER are set for a big night as they look to secure their top flight status against Sheffield at Beaumont Park on Monday (7.30).

The Watling JCB Lions lead by 26 points after an impressive first leg showing at Owlerton and will now aim to finish what they started.

There will also be an official announcement during the interval which will underpin the club going forward.

And co-promoter Marc Bates wants them to end their season on a high with another strong home showing.

Said Bates: “It was a good win for us in the first leg at Sheffield, but we’ve got to finish the job off at home.

“We want to put in one last big performance for our supporters before the season ends and we’ll be looking for a solid win.

“We’ll be making an important announcement about the future of the club as well, so it’s a big night and we hope we’ll get plenty of fans there to get one last fix of speedway before the season ends.”

Newly crowned Championship Riders’ Champion Nick Morris steps in for Josh Grajczonek at No.1 for the visitors, whilst James Sarjeant comes in for the injured Kyle Newman at reserve for Leicester.

LEICESTER: Kim Nilsson, Michael Palm Toft, Pawel Przedpelski R/R, Erik Riss, Danny King, Cameron Heeps, James Sarjeant.

SHEFFIELD: Nick Morris, Todd Kurtz, Ty Proctor, Josh Bates R/R, Lasse Bjerre, Jan Graversen, Georgie Wood.
